QVC as they run specials for these wonderful

apples. I like the Halloween ones with the sprinkles all over them and have not tried the other dipped ones yet but satisfaction is guaranteed at QVC and I have never had to return something purchased from them because they hand pick the items they sell and only get the best of the best. Favorite things-CAROUSELS

Chattanooga's oldest carousel was restored by locals.
This carousel is GORGEOUS. It was originally made in 1894, but then it fell into disrepair and Bud Ellis discovered it in the 1980s and fell in love and got some craftspeople together who trained a bunch of volunteers to make it sparkle again. Each animal is a work of art--it's there's camels, fish, half horse/half mermaids, and a bunch of other beautifully executed surreal-looking creatures to choose from. 
How can turn not turn to look when they hear the music from a carousel and watch it without wanting to take a spin? Carousels are awesome! These figures were All Created &Carved at Horsin Around under the Creative Direction of
Mr. Bud Ellis!

I enjoy CRAFTS! Especially if they aren't more expensive to make than to buy, and recycling something throw away into something Adorable like this pumpkin! Its canning lids spray painted
with sticks of cinnamon in the middle, you could also use Indian Corn or fresh or fake flowers or leaves~ how cute it that!

All I know about these is that they are made out of tires, how cool is this!! Now you have to be quite handy to make this I think!

Favorite things-WATERFALLS!

I love Waterfalls.

I don't care if they are in a small fountain, swimming pool, or off the side of a mountain! Is it because I was born under the water sign Aquarius? Who knows.

This was a picture of Fall Creek Falls in Tn. Lots of hiking trails, to see the falls and streams, to wade in and a small pool of water to swim in. They have a swinging bridge to cross the water if you like or you can walk across the rocks to the other side. They have very nice campgrounds, boating and horseback riding there too! I hope to be able to travel to Hawaii and Niagara Falls one day too to see these fabulous falls!---------Niagara Falls photo

Another fun tour in Chattanooga, Tn. is Ruby Falls. You take an elevator down then walk thru the cave with your tour guide and they give you the history on the Mountain and cave.Ruby Falls plunges 145 feet from its head to its lowermost reaches. Located in a cave which was used by American Indians for ritual purposes, there's nothing at this fascinating Tennessee natural attraction which won't captivate you. It is a must see. But make sure you do not miss seeing Rock City. Start early see ruby Falls first then spend the rest of the day at Rock City!

KINDLE IS A FAVORITE!

I never thought I would like one of these, in place of holding a real book in hand, but I have to tell you I LOVE my Kindle. No I do not have the Kindle Fire as I didn't want the extra expense but I would suggest buying a cover to help protect it. I love to read in a bubble bath and what I love about these are you can make the font as big or small as you need, there is a light built in the back so if it dark you can see it, turning the page is just a slight squeeze on one side as is going back to a previous page. Then you can save your page, turn it off and when you come back to that book, it opens where you left off. I can save that book and re-read it or delete it. I'm not sure of how many books it holds but I have 22 books saved on mine right now. Also there are several places you can download free books from. I use Amazon mostly. I would also suggest getting the adapter plug so when you travel you can keep your kindle charged. Now I have even seen these listed on Listia, a no money just credits site, like Ebay, but you use credits instead, its fun and addicting! But that's another blog. so for now go check out the kindles I think you will be happy you did!

Candles, facts and uses

Jewelry Candle
This one smells soooo Good! Just wanted to add a few tips, pointers, whatever you like to call them. When you light a Jewelry candle because it is 100% soy let it burn for atleast one hour to form an even pool. Also make sure you light Both wicks it burns evenly that way. Some people trim the tops of their wicks I never do and have had no issues but if you get a blob at the top just snip it off and remove it. Also make sure your candle, any candle, isn't burning where there is a direct air flow hitting it, like a fan or air conditioner vent, those breezes can cause your candle to burn real fast or irregular. And don't try to pick it up the glass is hot especially after it burns about half way use gloves or wait til it cools otherwise you might drop it.
Another trick we reps use is when it gets towards the bottom blow out the flame let the glass cool some then set it on a coffee warmer and let the little bit that is left melt (it will melt from the bottom up on the warmer) then pour the remaining into little molds. I picked up some silicone ice cube trays at the $ store and I pour the remaining in there and then when they set you have little tarts for your warmer without wasting any of your candle! Then wash out your jar by using warm soapy water (dawn works good for this) and remove the label and you can etch the jars or use them to store pasta or bathroom items there are all kinds of uses for it. Or you can start a new candle just purchase a couple wicks with the metal bottoms put them into the jar (uyou can use a little of melted wax to secure them first) and pour your remaining candle into the clean empty jar let that set up then the next candle you burn when it get towards the bottom melt the remaining on the warmer again and pour that into the jar and keep doing this you will eventually have a pretty layered candle that has all diff scents! Just stop about an inch from the top and make sure your wicks are showing.

I LOVE Peaches & Crème! I love it in Tarts and Candle. The best way to describe it is is you go to the produce section when peaches are in season and pick up the fruit and SNIFF you smell a ripe juicy peach! That's what it smells like I walk around the house just going AHHH that smells soooo GOOD! It comes in a full sized candle w/ a piece of jewelry or you can buy it in Clamshells or Tarts as everyone calls them. I put 1 tart in my little warmer that has an adjustable light over 3 weeks ago and every time I turn it on I can still smell the peaches and crème and have not had to put more in yet! Everyone's results will vary depending on the warmer and how often they use it but I can tell you these are scented so much better than most. I have tried Scentsy, Wal-mart, Zebra and a few others and the scent is gone in a few hours and I have to add more so do not like that. Although they each have things I do like, for example the Scentsy & Zebra tart warmers come in cute designs!

The next one I love is I Love My Pet it also comes in Candles & Tarts. When you buy one of these Candles 10% goes to humane society which I love that. The scent is hard for me to describe except it is not a PET smell. I was a scent designed so pleasing that anyone would like and smells great not a perfume type smell either this is the way JC describes it: A truly fantastic blend of cream & cranberries with spicy hints of nutmeg and cloves. It is a scent that is pleasing all year not a holiday scent either as I know when you hear, cloves and nutmeg, you think of Thanksgiving and Christmas. Everyone who has tried it loves it!

THINK PINK! This is a very important candle with a very important cause, Breast Cancer Research and Awareness! This wonderful scent is a sweet bouquet of mandarin, bergamot & orange enhanced by hints of peach & berries on an undertone of musk. 10% of all of these Think Pink! Candles will be donated to a Breast Cancer related charity. So It's seriously 3 gifts in one the candle the jewelry and the donation! It smells wonderful and now comes in Tarts too!

My Favorite Things ~1st Blog

Hi! I will be listing all of MY favorite things. These can be products, places, people etc.. If it is a product let it be known these are items I have found and used or ordered as gifts and simply love them and want to share with you.

So my first item is:

I love Candles and I love unique and creative and fun gifts. So when I found JewelryCandles I knew I would be sending this as a gift to all my sisters for their birthdays and when I needed say a house warming, holiday, special occasion, baby shower, wedding  gift or something, because what girl doesn't like candles and jewelry?? And even though others offer jewelry, its always a ring, this company you might get a ring, necklace, earrings, bracelet, anklet, you never know which makes it even more exciting.  Now even if you do Love candles but don't buy them because the scent bothers you, they have unscented, but unlike others that I have tried or checked, out these are 100% soy with natural wicks and double wicked which makes a Huge huge difference when you are burning candles. And these were doubly scented so you had a good strong fragrance that lasts (especially important in tarts btw, you want the scent to last as long as possible, so you don't keep going thru the tarts and having to empty the bowl as often!)

 I might add I have never sold anything I would not use myself! These are things I have sold and believe in Avon (skin so soft my fav.- still use it to this day), Discovery Toys, was great when my kids were growing up, they had great learning toys, Nutro, a great Pet food, now owned by Mars Company yes the M&M's company, and Homemade Gourmet, you can make a complete meal with dessert in 30 min or less and some items are so super yummy!
